You should know who you’re letting into your home
Installing an alarm or a camera system is a job built on trust: the installer gets to know the weak points of your property and has access to your locks and recordings. That’s why this page doesn’t give you adjectives, but names, numbers and documents you can check.
The most accurate word for what we do is systems integrator. In a modern home or building, electrical work, security technology, mechanical services and IT are separate trades with separate people – yet the alarm, the cameras, the heating, the shading and the EV charger only work well when they know about each other and run as one connected system. We build that bridge between the trades: we bring systems from different manufacturers and disciplines onto one shared, locally running interface, and connect them so that day to day they feel like a single whole.
That doesn’t mean we only take on complex systems: we also install a standalone alarm, camera system, intercom or EV charger. Even then we work with the same mindset: we choose the devices, run the cabling and document everything so the system can be extended and connected later – and if the need ever arises, you don’t have to start from scratch.
Who is behind MindzenSmart?
Adolf Szilveszter Attila – managing director and technical manager
I’m the founder and head of MindzenSmart, and I really enjoy that hardly any two installations are exactly alike: every request we receive has to be thought through, designed, programmed and, of course, handed over in a way that is easy to understand.
Why smart homes and security?
Because these two worlds are coming together right now – and yet each of them acts as if the other didn’t exist.
A traditional security installer usually knows very well where the weak point is and what the camera can and can’t see. But as soon as the internet, the cloud or a software-controlled solution comes up, they take a step back. On the smart home side it’s the other way round: software is the native language, but security often comes down to making sure the Wi-Fi password is long enough.
Meanwhile, the boundary has quietly disappeared from under them. The alarm communicates over IP, the camera runs analytics, the lock opens from your phone, and the heating knows you’ve left home. This intersection is what really interests me: where a system has to be secure and easy to use at the same time – because an alarm that gets switched off after the third false alarm protects nothing.
By training I’m an IT engineer, I’m also an officially registered security system installer, and I have completed the installer training of several smart home and security manufacturers. I keep learning all the time, because this is a field where you have to keep up with developments: new products keep appearing, while some players disappear without a trace.
The team
I’ve brought together specialists experienced in electrical work, security technology, IT and building automation – most of them with decades of experience in their field. What we have in common isn’t a brand or a technology, but a habit: we only hand over work we would accept in our own homes.
You see this most in the places you won’t see later: behind the wall, inside the cabinet, in the labelling.
What you can check
These aren’t promises but registered facts. You can look up any of them.
| Service provider | Mindzen Direct Kft. (company registration number: 01-09-416971) |
|---|---|
| Official registration | 01110-822/6574-2/2026.SZv. |
| Registering authority | Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK), District XI Police Department, Administrative Policing Division |
| Liability insurance | in place for both security and electrical installation work |
| Official inspection | the police inspect the activity every year |
In Hungary, security systems – alarms, cameras, access control – may only be installed as a service by a security systems company registered with the police. Liability insurance is also mandatory, and not only for security work but for electrical installation as well.
We know the latter isn’t a merit but a legal requirement. We spell it out anyway, because it’s worth asking the same of anyone else you get a quote from. The full legal details are in the Legal notice.
What do we do?
Most disappointments come from someone taking on a job they don’t have the licence or the experience for.
What we offer
- Systems integration: we integrate systems from different manufacturers and trades into one shared, locally running system and bring them onto one interface
- Alarm, camera and access control systems: site survey, system design, installation and commissioning
- Smart home installation, and taking over and upgrading existing systems
- EV charger installation
- Documented handover: device list, zone list, automation register, access credentials
- Operation, annual inspection, remote support – if you want it
- We don’t sell anything that isn’t needed on site – even if that means a smaller order.
What we don't promise
- We don’t install licensed fire alarm systems connected to the Hungarian disaster management authority. That’s a different category: a separate procedure, a designer’s involvement and specific authorisation. We do install home smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, though – the two shouldn’t be confused.
- We don’t replace or take over an existing central BMS (building management system). In small and medium-sized buildings without a BMS, we set up control of fan coils, split units and valves, and receive fault and status signals from the mechanical systems; we don’t touch the built-in controls of the boiler room, the chillers, the fire alarm or the smoke extraction.
- We don’t take on general contracting, electrical construction drawings or mechanical design. A smart home system design, yes.
Why is there no reference list yet?
Because it’s more honest to say so than to list made-up projects.
MindzenSmart is a new business: we notified the authority of our security activity in summer 2026, and that’s when we were registered. We’ll publish a references page once there’s something to show – with the client’s approval and real photos.
Until then, trust rests on the following – all of it can be checked today:
A named person in charge
Behind the work there isn’t a faceless company, but a name and a technical manager holding an official card. You know who you’re calling and who to hold accountable.
An itemised quote
You don’t just get one final total. You can see what’s equipment, what’s labour and what’s optional – so you can compare the quote with others.
The system stays yours
We hand over user and administrator access, and on request the alarm’s installer code as well, with documentation. We don’t tie you to us by being the only ones with access to your own system. With the documentation, any specialist can carry on working on it.
Boundaries in writing
We put the technical scope, the price and what we don’t take on in writing, so nobody has to rely on memory later.
How do we work together?
From the first message to the handover, we work in predictable steps, and at the end of each one you know what comes next. The whole process is described in detail here: How we work.
The logic behind our brand choices – why we don’t bend your needs to fit a single manufacturer – is explained on the Brands page.
Where do we work?
Mainly in Budapest and the surrounding area. We take on larger or more complex projects anywhere in Hungary.
